Hi, I'm Ellie.
For nearly a decade, I’ve helped brands, nonprofits, and media organizations translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content that connects with audiences and inspires action. Based in Atlanta by way of New York and Colorado, my experience spans journalism, editorial, public relations, marketing, and content strategy across healthcare, nonprofits, lifestyle, hospitality, luxury retail, and outdoor recreation.
After graduating from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2017, I moved to New York City to begin my career in entertainment before following my heart into editorial. Since then, I’ve worn a lot of hats—writer, editor, marketer, PR strategist, and content creator—but the thread connecting them has remained the same: using good storytelling to make complicated information more accessible, meaningful, and human.
Along the way, my writing has appeared in SHAPE, Sweet July, Women’s Health, Health.com, CNN, Refinery29, Inside Edition, and Modern Luxury, among other national and regional publications.
Most recently, I led public relations and content strategy for the prevention and advocacy arm of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where I secured thousands of media placements, developed integrated public health campaigns and partnerships, and helped tell the stories of patients, families, physicians, and researchers working across behavioral health, injury prevention, child protection, and obesity prevention.
In late 2025, I stepped away from full-time communications to make more room for creative writing. I studied Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, earning a certificate in Creative Non-Fiction and Fiction and returning to the craft of storytelling in a whole new way. That season also took me backpacking solo along ancient pilgrimage routes through Ireland and England, across the finish line of my first marathon, and—finally—to the first pages of the novel I’d been carrying around in my head for years.
These days, I split my time between freelance projects and creative writing. When I’m not at my laptop, you’ll usually find me running, hiking somewhere with questionable cell service, watching a British murder mystery or David Attenborough documentary, or outside with a great playlist and people I love.
